Picture of Somerset based bagpiper.

This piper has been playing the Bagpipes for over 30 years. During this time, he has received many accolades and has won many competitions both as a soloist and Pipe Band member.

Having left Ireland for the UK in 1990, he became a member of the Pride of Murray Pipe Band in London. While he was a member of the band, it progressed from Grade 3 to Grade 2. He was a member of the band when they were invited to be the only civilian band to play for Her Majesty the Queen and other members of the Royal Family on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee in 2002. He has also played at many events such as celebrity birthday parties, Ship Launches and other major occasions.

Piper HP12 now resides in Somerset but travels all over the UK and has played his pipes in many countries all over the world.

This bagpiper wears the Modern Douglas Tartan and has both a Full Dress (No.1) uniform and the Day Dress (No. 2) uniform which is a kilt with jacket and Tie.

Wedding

He has a number of years’ experience of playing the pipes for a couples a special day.

There are many different choices that can be made in terms of using a Scottish Highland Piper on your special day. Some examples are playing the bride up the aisle, playing the couple out of the service, playing for the guest while photographs are being taken, playing the happy couple to the top table at the reception.

Funerals

A lone piper playing a Lament or Slow Air can be a fitting tribute at the celebration of your loved one's life. Due to the sensitive nature of these occasions, the piper is available at short notice to play for any religious or civil funeral. Arrangements can be made in advance for any special requests. In order to ease a difficult situation.

He is more than happy to work directly with the funeral director to make sure any wishes are carried out. He can accommodate nearly any special requirement.

The most surreal repeated event that he took part in was being an Irish member of an English, Scottish Highland Pipe Band, playing Irish tunes on St Patrick’s day in Disneyland Paris!!
