Photo Of Bagpiper HP05 I was a Pipe-Major in the Gordon Highlanders and served in H M Forces for a total of 26 years. During my service, I have played at many Royal Functions and Dinners, Military Parades, Tournaments and Tattoo’s,  including  Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Hollyrood House etc., World – Wide Band Tours and European Film Premiers. i.e.” The Battle of Waterloo “

I spent four years in Brunei, as H M the Sultan's Piper and Pipe-Major of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This duty encompassed Band Tours in the Far East and Northern Australia and also a recording of Combined Band Music of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces in Singapore.

Since leaving the Army, I have played on various occasions for H M The Queen and Family, many Corporate and Military Functions and Dinner's in London, including Clarence House, Mansion House, Astor House, Spencer House etc., including Europe and the Far East. Most recently played for Sir Jackie Stewart and also RAC Club in Epsom, Surrey.

I am also asked to perform on regular occasions during the year, at Charity Concerts for a travelling Opera Company called; “Diva Opera”. I travelled to Switzerland, Paris and Guernsey with the Company on a regular basis and also performed in Turin, Italy, The Palace of Versailles and Dubai.

Whilst assisting with the musical advancement of the London Scottish Pipes & Drums in 2000, I had the honour of being on Parade for the 100th Birthday Celebrations, for HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, in London’s Horse Guards Parade, also at Clarence House and the 100th. Birthday Celebration Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.

I can wear two full Ceremonial Dress Uniforms, The Gordon Highlanders, (Green Tartan) with a Glengarry and Blackcock Feather and Royal Stewart, (Red Tartan) complete with Feather Bonnet. I also wear Ceremonial Evening Dress, worn when requested.

Wedding  Piper

In between official engagements I regularly play at weddings in London and surrounding counties.
The pipes really adds a touch of ceremony (pardon the pun) to a wedding, making it feel more o
f an event. A bride can utilise my services for the arrival of her car, piping her in to the ceremony, during the signing of the register and play the newly married couple out after the ceremony.

I can also pipe the guests to the drinks reception and also pose for photos with the bride and groom.

If required, I can pipe the guests in to the wedding breakfast. For both the drinks and wedding breakfast, this is very effective at getting people to move through when you want them to, rather than filtering through very slowly, which can cause things to over run.

You can hire me for all the parts mentioned above or any combination you wish.

Funeral Piper

I am often booked to play at funerals around London and the South East. This can take the form of marching and playing in front of the funeral car as it arrives at the church or crematorium, and /or playing as the coffin is taken in to the service area.

If it is a burial then I can play near the graveside or a little way off so that you can hear the pipes in the background.

I'm happy to fit around most requirements, just ask and I will oblige if I can.
